· The bus lane is closed 0730-0815 (M,T,W,F), 0830-0915 (Thurs.) and 14:00-15:15 daily. Parking is not permitted at the front of the school during these times.
· Students arriving after 0815 or 0915 (late start Thursdays) are considered tardy and must be signed in by a parent or guardian in the front office.
· All transportation changes must be communicated in writing to your student’s teacher and please copy ramsteines.attendance@dodea.edu. · Please send proof of flu vaccines to our nurse at samantha.lundell@dodea.edu
· As we approach the cooler winter months, please remember that students are not permitted to carry any medication, including over-the-counter items in their backpacks or on them. All medications must be stored and administered through the nurse’s office and must be accompanied by a doctor’s note. Please note that cough drops are considered a form of medication and must also be handled through the nurse’s office.
· To help us maintain a safe and supervised environment during recess, we kindly ask that all visits conclude at the end of the lunch period.
· To ensure all students are accounted for, please avoid taking your child from the line during dismissal without notifying the teacher. Please wait until the class has exited and the teacher can dismiss your child safely.

After-School Playground Reminder
We love seeing our families enjoy the playground after school! Students are welcome to use the equipment; however, they must be supervised by an adult. Please refer to KMC supervisory matrix.
To help us keep everyone safe and protect our school, please remind students to keep rocks on the ground and not throw them toward school windows.
Additionally, if a ball or other item lands on top of a building, students should not attempt to climb onto the roof to retrieve it. Climbing on buildings is unsafe.
Morning Drop-off
For the safety of our students and community, the main entrance of Ramstein Elementary School will be closed to all traffic from 0730-0815 (M,T,W,F), 0830-0915 (Thurs.) and 1400-1515 daily.
Please do not park or wait at the entrance during these times. Doing so blocks access to emergency vehicles if they need to enter the campus.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our students safe and ensuring our campus remains accessible in case of emergency.
Field Day note for Pre-K families:
Please note that our Pre-K students will not be participating in Field Day. Pre-K classrooms will follow their regular schedule on this day with developmentally appropriate activities.

Morning Arrival Reminder
To help ensure a smooth and successful start to the day, we kindly ask families to build in enough time during the morning routine to have students arrive before 8:15 a.m. Arriving on time allows students to:
- Walk in with their classmates
- Get settled into their learning environment
- Begin instruction calmly and confidently

Monday - Beef bites, carrot and celery sticks and fruit.
Tuesday - BBQ turkey sliders, cherry tomato bowl and fruit.
Wednesday - Spaghetti and meat sauce, spinach mandarin salad and fruit.
Thursday - All American breakfast, roasted potatoes and fruit.
Friday - Fish tacos seasoned green peas and fruit.
Monday - Beef bites, broccoli cheese soup, or chicken drumstick, onion rings, sweet potato fries, or carrot/celery dippers and fruit.
Tuesday - Mini chicken corndogs, pork rig patty BBQ or baked potato with BBQ turkey, seasoned corn or cherry tomato bowl, and fruit.
Wednesday - Spaghetti marinara, spaghetti and meat sauce, or three bean chili, Italian green beans or spinach mandarin salad, and fruit.
Thursday -Egg and cheese sandwich, All American breakfast with sausage, or chicken and waffles, roasted potatoes or baked beans, and fruit.
Friday - Cowboy chicken burger, Spanish meatballs and rice, or fish tacos, seasoned green peas or cucumber/tomato sald, and fruit.
