Dr. Brandi Howard
Biography
Dr. Brandi Howard is honored to serve as Assistant Principal at Ramstein Elementary School, where she brings over a decade of experience in education and a deep commitment to student growth. She is passionate about building strong relationships with military-connected families, collaborating with educators, and creating a school culture where students and staff feel supported and inspired.
Dr. Howard holds a Ph.D. in Administration of Supervision and Curriculum from Auburn University, where her research focused on collaboration and school building design. She also earned a graduate certificate in Program Evaluation from Auburn, Educational Specialist and Master’s degrees in Elementary Education, and Instructional Leadership certification from the University of West Alabama. She is a proud graduate of Alabama A&M University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.
Throughout her career, Dr. Howard has taught a variety of early childhood/elementary grade levels and served in multiple leadership roles, including collaboration chairperson, school improvement team member, mentor teacher, and reading proficiency facilitator. She is trained in Project-Based Learning through the Buck Institute and has experience with PBIS implementation and data-driven instructional planning.
In addition to her work in K–5 settings, Dr. Howard served as a resource teacher and curriculum developer for the Gains in Education of Mathematics and Science (GEMS) Program at Fort Novosel, a hands-on STEM initiative designed to spark interest in science among underrepresented students in Southeast Alabama.
Outside of school, Dr. Howard enjoys time with family and friends, cheering on the New Orleans Saints, traveling, listening to music, and playing board games. She looks forward to continuing her partnership with the Ramstein community to fulfill DoDEA’s mission: to Educate, Engage, and Empower military-connected students to succeed in a dynamic world.
