Ramstein Elementary School, one of DoDEA’s largest campuses serving the Kaiserslautern Military Community — recently completed its first quarter of Universal Pre-Kindergarten, launching more than eight classrooms as part of Phase 2 roll-out. Administrators said the effort required planning, manpower and coordination beyond what is typical for even the largest DoDEA schools, significantly expanding early-learning opportunities for a community of roughly 54,000 Americans.

Ramstein Elementary School welcomed 120 prekindergarten students this week as part of the second year of DoDEA Europe’s phased rollout of prekindergarten. With eight classes, Ramstein now hosts the largest prekindergarten program in DoDEA Europe.
