About Our School

Ramstein Elementary School (RES) is a part of the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) and is located in the Europe Central School District. RES serves approximately 800 children in grades Sure Start to 2. Our student population is made up of dependents of American military, Department of Defense civilians, and NATO personnel.

Ramstein Elementary School is located on Ramstein Air Base in the Rhineland-Pfalz Palatinate in Germany. Specifically, the school is located in a residential area of the air base. The school offers a wide range of academic programs including physical education, music, German culture (known as Host Nation Class), and art. In addition, RES strives to enhance all aspects of the school day with rich, standards-based activities in the areas of language arts, math, science, health, and social studies.

Our campus includes six buildings. The main entrance is located in Building 996.
