Ms. Elizabeth Roybal

Biography

Ms. Elizabeth Roybal is proud to serve as Assistant Principal of Ramstein Elementary School. Ms. Roybal joined the Europe East District from the Americas Mid-Atlantic District as a Prekindergarten (PK) - 5 Literacy ISS. Ms. Roybal's focus is developing excellent schools through strong communication, professional learning and collaborative teams.

Ms. Roybal received her undergraduate degree from The University of Kansas (Rock Chalk Jayhawk!) and her Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She began her career as a Teach for America corps member in which she taught middle school ELA in Las Vegas, NV for several years. Ms. Roybal taught and was a school administrator for a public charter school network, National Heritage Academies in Brighton, CO. Additionally, Ms. Roybal has administrator experience with K12 Online Schools in Colorado.

Ms. Roybal joined DoDEA in 2018 as the PK-5 Literacy ISS in Puerto Rico serving the Mid-Atlantic District. She worked with teams across Puerto Rico and the district to implement CCRSL and raise student proficiency in literacy. She was dedicated to working with teams across the district to improve communication for all stakeholders. Her proudest achievement was building relationships with administrators, teachers, staff, and garrison command to best serve the students of Puerto Rico.

Ms. Roybal is personally connected to the military as her father served in the US Air Force for twenty-two years and considers herself a proud “Military Brat.” She enjoys traveling, reading, crafting and connecting with friends/family. She is looking forward to working with the staff, students, and community of Ramstein Elementary School.
