Students at Ramstein Elementary School had a unique and exciting experience on Feb. 4 when robotic dogs Bonnie and Clyde visited as part of a STEM initiative led by Emergency Management.

One of the highlights of the visit was Catherine Botts' kindergarten class interacting with Bonnie and Clyde, sparking curiosity and enthusiasm among the young learners. The robotic dogs were hosted in the school library by information specialist Brenda Rahe, where students read their library books to the mechanical canines, blending literacy with technology in an imaginative way.

Distinguished guests, including DoDEA Director Dr. Beth Schiavino-Narvaez and Dr. Michelle Howard-Brahaney, director for student excellence in Europe, attended the event. Their presence underscored the importance of integrating cutting-edge technology into education and reaffirmed DoDEA’s commitment to STEM learning.

Bonnie and Clyde's visit to Ramstein Elementary was part of a broader tour during Kaiserslautern Military Community (KMC) Engineer Week, bringing hands-on STEM experiences to students and inspiring the next generation of innovators.

Ramstein Elementary continues to provide students with meaningful learning opportunities that merge technology, creativity and education. The visit from Bonnie and Clyde offered a glimpse into the future of robotics and its potential impact on the classroom and beyond.
